Sochi International Airport (IATA: AER, ICAO: URSS) (Russian: Международный Аэропорт Сочи) is an airport located in Adler District of the resort city of Sochi, on the coast of the Black Sea in the federal subject of Krasnodar Krai, Russia.

The operator of the airport is JSC International, which is part of the aviation holding company Basic Element Aero.


As of 2009, the airport is the ninth largest by passenger count in Russia, serving 1.485 million passengers, including approximately 105,400 international passengers. The airport serves Sochi, Russia's largest resort, as well as the surrounding area, which has a total permanent population of more than 700,000 people.

Driving directions:

From Sochi, follow the M-27 south to Adler before turning onto the A-148. The airport is well-signposted from this point.

Public transport description:

Bus: Route 124 runs directly from outside the terminal to Sochi central railway station (journey time: around 30 minutes). Several other local bus services link the airport with nearby Adler and neighbouring towns.

Taxi: The taxi rank is located at the front of Arrivals. Passengers are advised to negotiate their fare before entering the taxi – the average price into Sochi is around руб500.
