Clean place near hanoi airport

clean place near the airport

Free airport Pick up

Here's the deal. the airport is nearly 30 miles away from the city center. the avi airport hotel is 5 minutes away. some have said it's in a "village" near the airport. but a "village" conjures up different meanings for westerners. this is not a "village" but a typical dirty, rough, concrete set of streets with a produce market, a few pho bo stands, a couple of bia hoi stands and this one hotel that's actually what it says it is. clean.

keep in mind, it's a typical vietnamese, skinny, tall building, not the typical hotel you would think of in the west.

if you have a short time between flights, this is your place. believe me, if you just have a layover overnight, heading all the way into the city center is a drag and you will NOT get a good night's sleep in the city center.

the family that owns the avi airport hotel are all very nice, wonderful people. they replied to my email really quick. they arranged for a car to pick us up at our hanoi center hotel and he arrived on time, they checked us in with nothing but kindness, even offered me a beer and a smoke, and in the morning, had a car waiting for us to take us to the airport.

bring earplugs, your room may be facing the street. you need a place to sleep and don't need tourists sights? book here. we liked it.

oh, one thing i agree with in other reviews, hard beds! just a flattened futon, really. but come on, one night.
